Don’t read this if you’re playing in my game on Monday lol

Roll 1d20. It the entry only describes one cat, 1d3-1 others are around, just doing whatever.

  1. Four or five of them, sunning themselves or sheltering under an awning, ears erect, staring at something.
  2. One has walked directly into your path and stares at you like you shouldn’t be there
  3. Four all crowd around a heap of garbage, eating. An old, fat cat watches some ten feet away. Slowly, he lumbers over to the huddle. The others make room, a couple splitting off to look for scraps elsewhere.
  4. A mother, swollen with an unborn litter lies on a comfortable perch. Suddenly she springs up, catches a bird mid-flight, and brings it back to her bed to eat. She spits and growls if you come near.
  5. Just one, sitting up right smack in the middle of some table or chair or other thing it shouldn’t be on. It watches the activity around it, eyes wide. It tries to bat at any object brought near it, bites and scratches any hand that tries to move it. Feed and play with it and it will follow you all day, or at least until it gets scared or bored or distracted.
  6. Follows one of you, meowing. There is food in your pack, or something else it thinks is food. It insists.
  7. No idea where they came from, no idea where they went, but two just tore across the place, leaving a terrible mess.
  8. Digging into a fresh-killed rat. A skinny cousin watches on, licking its chops.
  9. Stooping over a puddle or perched atop a rain barrel, lapping placidly.
  10. Taking a shit in the corner. It half-heartedly kicks some sand over it before leaving.
  11. Weaving around under the tables, leaping on any scraps that happen to fall off. Irritated by attempts to pet them, but trying to be patient.
  12. Suddenly, confoundingly between your legs. Offended by your carelessness.
  13. Where are all the cats? The few regulars saying good riddance are the most worried.
  14. Lying on top of an awning looking very proud of itself.
  15. Two wander around, yowling inexplicably. They’ve been at it all day.
  16. Following you at a distance. Freezes when you look. Bolts if you approach.
  17. Something falls over, making a terrible noise. A cat stands five feet away, as surprised as you are.
  18. Bumping its head against your legs and hands. Its nose runs with anticipation. Its purrs are audible a dozen feet away. Its appetite for affection is bottomless.
  19. At a heated standoff over dominion of an empty crate. Will descend into shocking violence if left alone. If interrupted, both run away.
  20. One licks feverishly at a bare patch of wall. A second watches with interest. A third couldn’t care less.

Does it like being held?
